Hands-on Laboratory Sessions
The 12th International Summer School on Industrial Agents (ISSIA 2026) invites
applications for its Hands-on Laboratory Sessions, designed to provide
participants with practical experience in the development of Industrial Multi-Agent
Systems and Cyber-Physical Systems.
The practical sessions will complement the Summer School lectures through guided
laboratory activities covering topics such as:
- Multi-Agent Systems (MAS)
- Embedded Multi-Agent Systems
- Robotic Operating System (ROS)
- Industrial Cyber-Physical Systems
Due to laboratory capacity limitations, participation in the hands-on activities is
limited to 20 participants.
Who should apply?
Applications are encouraged from:
- PhD students;
- Master’s students;
- Undergraduate students;
- Researchers;
- Industry professionals
whose research or professional activities are related to Industrial Agents, Multi-Agent
Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Embedded Systems, Cyber-Physical Systems,
Robotics, Industrial Automation or Industry 4.0.
Selection Process
Applications will be evaluated by the ISSIA 2026 Organizing Committee considering:
- Relevance of the applicant’s research area or professional activities to the practical course topics;
- Knowledge and experience related to the practical course topics;
- Current academic level;
- Motivation statement;
- Curriculum vitae.
The organizing committee’s decision will be final.

General Info
- participation in the school’s theoretical classes is FREE for IEEE/IES members and costs R$ 250 for non-members (non-members may go through the selection process and decide later whether to become members — membership must be confirmed by October 30) — PLEASE NOTE: space is LIMITED;
- participation in the school’s practical activities is limited to 20 people;
- participation in social activities requires payment, except for those with a TG (Travel Grant).
